You’ve probably heard Fitz and The Tantrums song “MoneyGrabber” on the radio and mistaken it for a track on a Motown album from years past. You’d be wrong – it’s been just over two years since this band played their first show in L.A.’s Hotel Café, and they can already claim such accomplishments as touring with Maroon 5 and playing at the world famous Red Rocks Amphitheater in Colorado.
Fitz and The Tantrums will be gracing Indianapolis with their bold presence on Tuesday, June 21st at The Vogue. And unlike most bands, when these guys take the stage you’ll notice the lack of guitar – not that that hinders their powerful sound at all. Just take a look at what some other publications have to say about this group:
"This proudly guitar-less sextet of soulful Angelenos throw a sparkling pop gloss on a familiar Motown sound…" – Rolling Stone, April 2011
"Take a listen to Fitz & the Tantrums' hit single Moneygrabber, a delicious, foot-stomping delight, and you might think they're a Motown band someone rediscovered in the dusty old bins of a record store." – USA Today, February 2011
"The LA six-piece pulled off the formidable feat of looking backward and forward simultaneously, filtering the elements of ’60s soul through a modern, almost hip-hop-derived production sensibility." – Boston Globe, January 2011
So how can you not head down to The Vogue on Tuesday night to check out Fitz and The Tantrums after reading all of that? You’ll be missing out on a fantastic night of entertainment if you decide to stay home – so head over to The Vogue’s box office or online to get your tickets!
